How many people get married in england a year?

How many people get married in england a year (not the whole of the Uk just england) and if you can find out, what percent or how many of these don't work. please answer quickly! How many people get married in england a year?
Hi. You need the Office of National Statistics website (see links below). They only show data for England+Wales together apparently.

The stats they show for marriages in England %26amp; Wales are as follows:

2004: 270,700

2005: 246,854

2006: 236,980

No data for 2007.

The % that end in divorce is quite difficult to work out. But the average marriage lasts 11 years according to the ONS. Comparing marriages 11 years prior to divorces 11 years later, the divorce rate has gone down from 51% in 2004 to 47% in 2006.

Not very encouraging is it!?
